Meet Norman Lieberman, The Pay Raise Coach
I am a highly effective headhunter and salary expert, and I am passionate, even obsessive, in wanting to help you get the compensation you deserve. I do something unique to this industry: I ensure that you avoid the strategies too many employees use when asking for a raise. Strategies destined to fail. That's why so many great employees are under compensated.
By using my coaching skills, you'll discover how to leverage your skills, accomplishments, reputation, and personality to get the pay raise you deserve.

From Childhood to Accounting Profession
I always had a flair for and attraction to helping others. Even as a small child I always wanted to help those in need. As I got older, I realized that it generally takes money to help others, and that minimally one needed the time to do so. After a stint in the U.S. Army, and finishing college and graduate school, I began working in the accounting field. I worked my way up to Controller. What I liked best about being a controller was helping the staff learn and grow.
From Controller to Accounting Placement
While working as a controller, I taught for a number of years as a college evening instructor in business, including accounting. Over time, I got bored with the accounting aspect. I'd used placement agencies, on occasion, to hire employees for my accounting department. This fascinated me. It seemed like fun, had potential for earning much more money than accounting, and I could help others get what they wanted. So I changed career focus and moved to running the office for an accounting placement firm.

From Accounting Placement to Headhunter
Over time, I excelled and hired staff. Eventually, I quit and opened my own firm. I have been a successful executive recruiter for over 24 years and literally have helped hundreds of people get better positions, where they made (often) significantly more money. I've done hand-holding for countless numbers of people over the years on how to best market themselves so that they can get hired at significantly more money.
The Perfect Blend: Executive Recruiter and Pay Raise Coach
Eventually, this experience evolved into taking one aspect of the "employment game," getting a pay raise, and launching a satellite business around that theme. In early 2005, I wrote an article on the subject for a large metropolitan regional newspaper.
Additionally, I have been interviewed on the radio on the subject of pay raises. My success rate has been so high at counseling others on the specifics of getting a raise, that I now guarantee that my coaching services will bring 10%-30%+ increases for my clients or their money is refunded. That means I am selective on who I take on as a client. Obviously, everyone is not deserving of a large raise.
When I determine a potential client is qualified, I set up the processes to make that happen. My front-line experience in executive recruiting, college teaching, business management, and negotiation experience makes me uniquely qualified to help professionals who are earning $40,000-$150,000 annually.
From Grieving Son to Author
Another accomplishment that I am particularly proud is that after my father died, four years ago, I wrote and published a journal for adult children and their dads. The journal is used to create a legacy on the lives of the readers' fathers. Often, we adult children, take our dads' existence for granted, and sometimes we don't take the time to really get to know him outside of a few obvious things like maybe he likes baseball, football, chess, or hunting.
Information on the journal can be found at www.understandingdad.com. I had a major interview published a few years ago on Father's Day regarding my experiences and my book.
Thank you for your interest in my background. I hope to be able to help you get some of the things in life that can come from a significantly higher pay check.
